Your abdominal muscles are like any other muscle in your body you need to work them correctly when you workout and you need to fuel them well. Core exercises should be performed about three times a week. You can overdo your core muscles just like any other muscle group so there’s no need to do them everyday.

When it comes to defining your abs. sit-ups and crunches aren’t the only forms of exercise to really make them pop. Below are few exercises that will really put a spin on your next abs workout….

1) BIRD DOG:-

The bird dog helps you to move dynamically within your workout, which is a great way to help you hold that stomach. You don’t just work your core and hip muscles with the move you also work on your balance and coordination. You might fall over the first few times you give this move a whirl which is okay. Once you have it down, you’ll have mastered an exercise that works more than just one thing.

2) REVERSE CRUNCH:-

The reverse crunch targets the lower abs, which are tough to tone. Keep your arms at your sides and palms down. Use the abs to lift the legs, bringing the knees directly over the hips. Contract the abs further and raise your hips and lower back off the mat, knees toward your face. Hold briefly before lowering back to the mat. Don’t let your feet touch the floor.

3) MOUNTAIN CLIMBER:-

Think of the mountain climber as a moving plank. You perform a mini crunch when you explosively draw one knee into your chest. What makes this move so difficult, however, is that your core has to work overtime to keep your body stable and straight every time you lift a foot off of the floor.
